Senior Mechanical Engineers – Sunnyvale

M2 Medical is medical device company bringing to market major advancements in the treatment of Diabetes. We are looking for talented Senior Mechanical Engineers who have demonstrated a broad variety of engineering skills and aptitudes, including design and evaluation of mechanical, fluidic and electromechanical products and systems in conjunction with the development of test specifications and methods. Candidates must be self starters and team players capable of working with a minimum level of supervision. Senior Mechanical Enginees must have experience successfully mentoring and leading multi-disciplinary technical teams.Responsibilities include: Design and develop mechanical and electromechanical systems from marketing specifications; using principles of DFM and DFA. Research and test manufacturing and assembly by hands-on methods and techniques in conjunction with the solicitation of observations from operators. Design and develop of miniature fluid metering systems. Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems and assemblies by application of principles of mechanics and materials. Confirm system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods and systems. Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components. Assure system and product quality by following design and test guidelines. Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Maintain quality assurance by SPC/SQA methods. Complete projects by training and guiding technicians and other direct and indirect personnel Maintain professional and technical currency by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies. Contribute to team effort by performing various duties as requirements arise. Must be wiling to travel to support design and manufacturing needs as required. Other duties as required in support of the department and company. Requirements:MEDICAL DEVICE EXPERENCE REQUIRED! BS degree or equivalent , MS preferred 8+ years experience (start up experience required) Experience in medical devices with moving parts a plus Experience with drug delivery systems, micro pumps, etc. a plus. 3-D modeling, design, failure analysis, conceptualization Experience presenting technical information with a quality focus to internal as well as external partners. Production planning, product management and experience with prototype fabrication a plus. Excellent organization skills and the ability to handle multiple areas of responsibility concurrently. The ability to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, exciting environment is a must. MS Office Suite experience, a plus.Principals Only!
