Senior/Lead Electrical Engineer – Sunnyvale

M2 Medical is medical device company bringing to market major advancements in the treatment of Diabetes. We are looking for a Senior/Lead Electrical Engineer who will specialize in creating miniaturized software-controlled medical devices. The role is to develop electronic hardware systems consisting of extremely low-power microcontrollers and associated digital and analog components. The ideal candidate is an electronic hardware designer with exceptionally strong design skills at the schematic level. Very effective interaction with embedded software development staff is critical attribute.Responsibilities include: Design and develop low-power microcontroller-based medical device Contribute effectively within a team environment Defining deterministic, power-efficient real-time products Host periodic and appropriate design reviews and address defects in concert with quality assurance functions Map detailed hardware requirements to detailed hardware verification and validation plans Design development process and methods compliant with FDA Design Controls Understand and support real-time systems embedded software development, using C-compilers, and assembly language Meet scheduled milestones Design quality in as opposed to testing to establish quality Manage cost out and quality in during the design phase of product developmentRequirements: BSEE or equivalent degree; MSEE preferred. Minimum 10 years experience. Strong background in low-power design preferred. Proficient in electrical circuit design; experience with safety standards applied to medical devices preferred.
